High Alpine Brewing Company - providing beer connoisseurs with some of the best beer in Colorado! Each of our beer recipes uses only the finest hops, grains, high country water, and other quality ingredients combined to bring you world-class beer.
Our business model is to use locally sourced ingredients whenever possible. We use **Proximity Malting Company** based out of Monte Vista, CO for all of our base malt in our beer.

THE CORE FOUR

GUNNY GOLD KÖLSCH

5.1% ABV | 22 IBU’s
For this recipe we wanted to go traditional and capture the character of beers brewed in Köln, Germany. The light grain bill, hearty kettle additions of Saaz and Hallertauer Mittelfrüh, and a German ale yeast make for a delicate and balanced beer. This beer pours a crystal-clear and light gold with a white head. Herbal and spicy hop aromas open up into a light, grainy-sweet body with a crisp finish.

GREEN GATE IPA

6.7% ABV | 85 IBU’s
A West Coast IPA for hopheads and folks looking to expand their palate. We load this beer with Citra and Mosaic hops throughout the boil, whirlpool and dry hopping. Fresh pine and grapefruit dominate the aroma with peach and dank cannabis making an appearance. Light grain, and faint caramel give balance through the body and lead to a stone fruit and citrus rind finish with a pleasant bitterness that lingers long after the last sip.

ANTHRACITE AMBER ALE

6.1% ABV | 25 IBU’s
An iconic style throughout the American Craft Beer Revolution, Amber Ales are balanced and approachable. Our amber ale continues this great tradition. Look for toast, biscuit and subtle piney hop aromas, a smooth body of caramel and bread crust, and a finish that is rounded out with toasted caramel and a balanced bitterness.

SOL'S ESPRESSO STOUT

6.0% ABV | 33 IBU’s
Our boldest year-round offering is brewed in collaboration with Tributary Coffee Roasters. They roast a special espresso blend just for this beer! Espresso dominates the aroma with roasted malt and beautiful chocolate. The medium body is balanced with sweet caramel notes and dark chocolate with a bright espresso finish. Goes great with breakfast or your favorite dessert!

SEASONAL BEERS

happy colored marbles fruited sour ipa

6.0% ABV | 53 IBU’s
This is our second iteration of our Sour IPA series: Happy Colored Marbles, a wild and harmonious blend of flavors that will excite your palate and bewilder your senses. At first glance, a pint of HCM appears to look like any other West Coast IPA consisting of 2-row barley, oats, and caramel malts, but the nose can pick up notes of Asian pear, lychee, and stone fruit, all of which can be attributed to the triple dry hopping of this delicate kettle soured IPA at a rate of 4 pounds of Citra hops per barrel. On its way to the brite tank, we upped the fruit addition from 220 pounds to 264 pounds of fresh passionfruit puree that really sets this beer off! Happy Colored Marbles is tangy, malty sweet, juicy, and delicious.

Red lady ale American red ale

5.8%ABV | 35 IBU’s

"In celebration of HCCA’s victory after 47 years of fighting the good fight, Red Lady Mountain (Mt. Emmons) is officially forever mine-free and we have brewed an American Red Ale! Colorado-grown 2-row barley, flaked rye, and a blend of caramel and chocolate malts make for a beautiful, crimson-colored hue and give this beer a distinct mouthfeel and lightly toasted-biscuity flavor that we desire as we shift into colder weather here in the Gunnison valley. We dry hopped this red ale with CTZ and Gunnison grown Centennial fresh hop cones, balancing this beer out tremendously. Thank you again to Crested Butte, HCCA and everyone that helped make this happen. Cheers!"

Signal Peak Shandy
lemon/tangerine german lager

4.4% ABV | 12 IBU’s

We’ve got one more tasty treat for our thirsty friends as the summer in Gunnison Valley comes to an end - our first Shandy! Or is it technically called a Radler? - Starting with a traditional, easy-drinking German Lager brew, we added fresh lemon & tangerine puree and have come out with our MOST CRUSHABLE fruited light lager on tap to date. Using the most recently harvested Tettnanger hops and authentic German heirloom barley, this beer is undoubtedly crisp, clean, and tangy due to the citrus fruit additions without being overly sweet.

The Matron Barrel Aged Imperial Chocolate stout

11.4% ABV | 36 IBU’s
Dessert in a glass! One of our favorite liquids we produce- The Matron. We start with an Imperial Stout base and add copious amounts of Haitian cacao nibs that add notes of brown sugar, vanilla, and fudge to this already delicious beer. We then age it in DeerHammer American Single Malt Whiskey barrels for 12 months. The outcome is phenomenal! Flavors of burnt toffee, pecan, chocolate and rich vanilla are extracted from the aging process. Available in Crowlers® too!

space wrangler ipa

6.5% ABV | 16 IBU’s
Saddle up a bar stool and lasso up this limited batch of juicy, triple-dry hopped IPA, a brew that promises a rodeo of flavors in every sip. Packed full of premium English malt, a touch of local CO-grown 2-row barley, and flaked wheat for extra body, this IPA is the perfect balance of smoothness and strength. Generous amounts of fresh Galaxy, Mosaic, and Citra hops give this beer flavor notes resembling tangy citrus, bright melon, and a touch of pine, resulting in a refreshingly vibrant and zesty experience. With each pour, you'll be taken on a wild ride through fields of ripe fruits and piney woods, making this brew a true standout in the world of craft beer.

helles in paradise
4.6% ABV | 14 IBu’s

Helles In Paradise is our newest lager to come out that is just about as clean as you can get. Brewed with traditional German malts and hops, this munich helles is golden-straw-like in color, subtle in noble hop bitterness, and drinks smooth and crisp with just enough malty backbone to balance it out and keep you coming back for more. If Mr. Clean was a beer, this would be the one.
